The Greektown CDC committee chairs are comprised of volunteer residents who have shown leadership initiative in different areas of improving their neighborhood.

Anastasia Diniotis, John Ruhrah Affairs
Anastasia was born and raised in Greektown and has lived there for 25 years.  She attended John Ruhrah Elementary/Middle School as a child, and now serves as a teacher there for over three years. Anastasia has always been very involved in the community and will now be the liaison for all John Ruhrah related affairs.
Carlos Linares, Latino Affairs
Originally from Guatemala City, Carlos began working in the travel industry as a tour guide, taking people on tours of the Spanish-colonial city of Antigua, Lake Atitlan and the folkloric town of Chichicastenango, all in Guatemala. He came to the United States and began working as a travel agent in 1990. He works as a Certified Flight Instructor at Martin State Airport in Baltimore and says that being a general aviation pilot is one of the most exciting things he’s ever done. Carlos has been a resident of Greektown for over 5 years and is enthusiastic in helping the Greektown CDC reach out to its Spanish speaking population.
Angela Argirakis, Housing Development
A Maryland native, Angela grew up in Fallston, MD in Harford County where she attended Fallston High School. At the age of 23 she purchased her first home in Greektown Soon after, Angela attended community events and became a member of the Greektown Community Development Corporation. In 2009, Angela was awarded a prominent position in her community as Housing Committee Chair. In this role Angela is responsible for facilitating the Healthy Neighborhoods Program. At her age, Angela has an extensive background in real estate sales which adds to the benefit of her new community role.
Tom Keefe, Public Safety
Tom was born and raised in Greektown, attended Poly High School and joined the US Navy. He graduated from the University of Baltimore.
He has been employed with the United States Postal Service for over 30 years and is now the District Manager for Human Resources in Baltimore. Tom also serves as an officer for the Knights of Columbus, a charitable non profit resource for the local community. He has been associated with the Greektown CDC since its inception.
Gregory Emrick, Sanitation
Gregory Emrick, grew up in Pottstown, PA, and moved to Greektown in the summer of 2005, to attend law school at the University of Maryland, Baltimore Campus. During the last four years, he has been living on the 300 Block of South Newkirk Street. Its here that he found his first project, getting trees on the street. Mr. Emrick brings a wide range of experiences to this position, and hopes that as the Chair, he can help the committee make a substantial differenced in the community to become a healthier and even more pleasant home.
Mike Davio, Planning
Mike is a Maryland native, growing up in Clarksburg, MD. He attended the
University of Maryland at College Park, where he earned his B.A.
in Government and Politics. While in college, he worked full-time in various
positions including paralegal, debt collector, and pharmacy technician.
After college, Mike completed an internship on Capitol Hill, which inspired
him to apply to law school. He graduated from the University of Maryland
School of Law in 2008 and is currently a prosecutor within the Baltimore
City State's Attorney's Office.


Nitsa Morekas, Greektown Business Alliance, President
nitsa Nitsa Morekas is the owner/operator of the Kentrikon (which means 'center'
in Greek) music shop, one of the oldest records stores in Baltimore that
serves as a center for Greek American activities and the heart of the
business district. Nitsa arrived to the United States with her family from
Kalamata, Greece in 1951 and eventually took over Kentrikon from her cousin
John Morekas. Nitsa has been a pillar in the Greek community, involved in
virtually every organization and event in the past few decades. She hosted
the Greek American Radio Hour, which provided news and entertainment for
many Greek immigrants in the Baltimore area. Nitsa is well known for her
kindness and inclusiveness as well her passion for her community. She serves
as the Greektown Business Alliance President.
